The Stratford Perth Museum has a number of openings to work weekends this fall and winter – most often Saturdays and Sundays from 9:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
The main role will be Front of House – welcoming visitors to the museum, processing admission and gift shop payments, providing orientation for our patrons, opening and closing. There will be some curatorial work that will include working with our collection and artifacts, accepting donated items and the related data entry.
Historically, these positions are filled by students and this is an excellent part-time job for someone who in considering a career in the tourism, culture or hospitality industries.
The positions are not restricted to just students and anyone eligible under the Canada Summer Jobs program can apply.
- between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment;
- a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment;
- have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
The museum pays more than minimum wage.
