The Stratford Perth Museum has a number of positions available including great jobs for summer students.

The museum is seeking applications for those that are eligible to work under the Young Canada Works program and potentially Canada Summer Jobs. These are full-time jobs (35 hours a week) that will include weekends and some nights, usually on the weekend. There are some 16-week positions as well as some that are for eight weeks.

Duties certainly are not limited to but will include working at the reception desk and welcoming visitors to the museum; helping with our educational programming and our events; working in the collection room researching artifacts and the related data entry and helping create exhibits.

Before applying, please check those two websites (YCW) or (CSJ) for program eligibility.

SOUND TECHNICIAN

The museum is also in search of a sound technician. The museum has its own sound equipment and we need a technician for our events as well as for some of the third-party events taking place at the Player’s Backstage this summer. This is a part-time, seasonal, as-required position that pays $25 and hour.

EVENTS MANAGER

Similarly, the museum is seeking a person to assist with our Players’ Backstage events this summer. Duties would include, but also not be limited to, being the point-person on the day of the event, coordinating with the talent, welcoming the patrons and ensuring the show starts on time.  This is a part-time, seasonal, as-required position that pays $25 and hour.
