Ticket Refund, Exchange & Weather Policy

The Stratford Perth Museum is a community-based organization that presents a wide range of one-off events, performances, programs, and fundraisers. Because many of our events are single-date experiences with limited capacity, our ticket policies are designed to balance flexibility for our audiences with the realities of producing small-scale, community-supported events.

General Ticket Policy (Most Museum Events)

Refunds
Refunds may be requested up to 48 hours prior to the scheduled event. Refunds are not guaranteed and are granted at the Museum’s discretion, particularly for one-off events with limited capacity.

Exchanges
Exchanges are rarely possible, as most Museum events do not have alternate dates. If an exchange is available, it must be requested at least 48 hours in advance and is subject to availability.

Donations
If you are unable to attend, we warmly encourage ticket holders to consider donating the value of their ticket to the Museum. As a charitable organization, we greatly appreciate this support, and charitable receipts may be issued where applicable.

Weather Considerations
We recognize that winter weather can be unpredictable, particularly for guests travelling from rural areas. In cases of severe weather, we encourage ticket holders to contact the Museum as early as possible to discuss options.

The Museum does not automatically cancel events due to weather unless travel conditions are deemed unsafe or authorities close major roadways. If an event proceeds as scheduled, standard ticket policies apply.

Event Cancellation by the Museum

If the Stratford Perth Museum cancels an event (including due to severe weather, highway closures, or other circumstances beyond our control), ticket holders will be offered the choice of:

  • A full refund, or
  • A donation of the ticket value to support the Museum

Special Ticket Policy: Love Letters Fundraising Performances

The Love Letters performances at Here For Now Theatre are sold-out fundraising events presented in partnership with Here For Now Theatre.

Because of the limited capacity and active waiting list for these performances, the following special policy applies:

Refunds & Exchanges

  • Requests for refunds or ticket transfers may be considered up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled performance.
  • After this time, refunds or exchanges cannot be guaranteed.

Waiting List Priority

  • If you are unable to attend, please notify the Museum as soon as possible. We will make every effort to reassign your ticket to guests on the waiting list.

Donation Option

  • If you are unable to attend and a transfer is not possible, we kindly invite you to consider donating the value of your ticket to support both the Stratford Perth Museum and Here For Now Theatre.

Weather-Related Exceptions

  • In the event of severe winter weather or highway closures that significantly impact travel safety, the Museum will review refund or donation options on a case-by-case basis, with care and flexibility.

Event Cancellation

  • If a performance is cancelled by the presenters due to unsafe travel conditions or other unforeseen circumstances, ticket holders will be contacted directly with options for refund or donation.
