This exciting combination of literacy, physical activity, and nature is among a series of wonderful story trails, brought to you by Stratford Public Library, the Rotary Club of Stratford and the Stratford Perth Museum. Discover the magic and wonder of a good book while out in nature!
Currently you can visit The Stratford Perth Museum Heritage Trails to read Tokyo Digs A Garden by Jon-Erik Lappano. This book will be available for reading on our trail on April 3, 2024 until June 26, 2024. Starting June 27, 2024 you will be able to enjoy the The Darkest Dark by Colonel Chris Hadfield – more information below.

Session 1

Discover the joy of physical literacy, nature, and reading as you follow the pages of Colonel Chris Hadfield’s inspirational book The Darkest Dark on the Heritage Trails at Stratford Perth Museum from June 27 – Sept 2.

At this launch event, you will become a space explorer through creative activities, science experiments, astronaut challenges, and more!

Session 2

Explore the mysteries and magic of the night sky with the Stratford Astronomy Group at a Star Gazing Party at the  Stratford Perth Museum.

Participants of all ages are invited to meet the experts to learn all about the constellations and discover the planets through a telescope for a closer look at what illuminates the sky at night.

This event is a kick-off to our latest Tales & Trails story, The Darkest Dark by Chris Hadfield which will be available to read on the Heritage Trails at Stratford Perth Museum. In the afternoon, we’re also hosting The Darkest Dark Launch Party.
