Each year, the Stratford Perth Museum honours local servicemen and women through our Veteran Banner Project, displayed throughout Stratford’s downtown core during the Remembrance period. This beloved community tradition has grown significantly, and today close to 80 banners are proudly installed each year.
These banners are installed and removed by the Laing Brothers, who generously volunteer their time and expertise. Due to the significant workload involved in managing, storing, transporting, installing, and removing the existing banners, our physical banner program has reached full capacity.
What This Means Going Forward
- We are unable to produce additional physical banners at this time.
- A waitlist will be maintained should capacity increase.
- No payments for new street banners will be accepted until we can confirm additional space.
Online Veteran Banner Project – Always Open
While the physical banner program is full, our Online Veteran Banner Project continues year-round. This digital archive allows families to celebrate their veterans through photos, biographies, and personal stories—accessible anytime, anywhere.
This online tribute is free of charge and remains one of the most meaningful and widely used parts of the initiative.
