Virtual Exhibit – Perth Up! A Retrospective of Duty & Valour

Welcome to Perth Up! Virtual Exhibit. Here you will find a general history of the Perth Regiment in its various incarnations – during the Militia period, WWI, and WWII – and some personal stories of soldiers who served in the regiment.

Our permanent exhibit at the Stratford Perth Museum, contains additional stories and hundreds of important artefacts related to local military history. It highlights not only the Perth Regiment, but also tells the stories of men and women from across Perth County who served in other forces and organizations– the Royal Canadian Air Force, the Navy,  the Canadian Medical Corps, the Black Devils Special Forces, Nursing Sisters, the IODE and more.

Why “Perth Up!”? During WWII, the term indicated that the Perth Regiment was up ahead, at the front lines or in an encampment.
