As part of the Lights ON Stratford festival in 2026-2027, the Stratford Perth Museum will be offering complementary programming.

Unique seasonal events showcasing Lights ON themes at the museum with special guests sharing local stories and Young @ Art & Science activities will be available for guests and families. Tales & Trails

For the duration of Lights On Stratford our Historic trails will be illuminated with free access to snowshoes for the walking trail.

Our trails will be lit throughout the Lights On Stratford Event and lights will remain on from 5 PM – 10 PM approximately.

As an added bonus, read the illuminated Tales and Trails walk book “The Language of Birds” by Jon-Erik Lappano and Zach Manbeck. Thanks to our partners the Stratford Public Library and the Rotary Club of Stratford. For more information and activities please click HERE.

This program is free of charge, snowshoes can be retrieved near our Main Entrance, and washrooms available inside.

Please make sure you bundle up and return the snowshoes at the pick up location.

Lantern Tours

Get the chilling stories from behind the scenes at the Stratford Perth Museum during our Lights ON lantern-lit tours. Guides will ‘enlighten’ guests with the edgy and eerie tales from our ‘artifact vault’ where visitors will engage with the wonderful and weird parts of our collection. All guests will get exclusive curatorial engagement with some of our more curious objects stored away in our collections room.

Lanterns provided and refreshments available for purchase – this is a licensed event.
