As part of the Lights On Stratford event, the Stratford Perth Museum will be offering complementary programming.

Unique seasonal events showcasing “The Power of Light” at the museum with feature special guests sharing Nightlight Stories and Young @ Art & Science activities available for all guests and families.

Heritage Trail

Dec. 16-Jan. 31

For the duration of Lights On Stratford our Historic trails will be illuminated with free access to snowshoes for the walking trail.

Our trails will be lit throughout the Lights On Stratford Event and lights will remain on from 5 PM – 9 PM approximately.

As an added bonus, read the illuminated Tales and Trails walk book “Picture a Tree” by Barbara Reid. Thanks to our partners the Stratford Public Library and the Rotary Club of Stratford.

The event is free of charge, snowshoes can be retrieved near our Player’s Backstage, and washrooms available inside.

Please make sure you bundle up and return the snowshoes at the pick up location.

Ask our reception during operating hours for details (10 am – 4 pm, 7 days a week).

Young @ Art & Science

December 19 to 22 and January 3 to 7  from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Calling all young artists and scientists! The Young @ Art & Science program will be at the Stratford Perth Museum this winter! Come join us for some fun family-friendly art & science during Stratford’s Lights ON event this December and January.

We will supply art & science activities of varying difficulties for kids to choose from related to the theme “The Power of One Light” to reflect our temporary exhibit, The Power of One, from the Abraham Global Peace Initiative. This program is geared towards children ages 12 and under, and the activities are designed to be completed with minimal supervision. All make & take projects can be brought home OR crafted here in our Cooperators Indoor Theatre.

Nightlight Stories

January 4  from 6:30 to – 8 p.m.

In partnership:  Stratford Public Library and Rotary Club of Stratford

Join us for an illuminated Tales and Trails walk “Picture a Tree”, fun outdoor activities and cozy indoor activities.  Story time, crafts and activities that will lighten up your week!

Please be sure to dress warm to see the Tales and Trails book outdoors.

This free drop in event will be fun for participants of all ages.

Light refreshments will be available.
