Grand Trunk Renewal 101 with John Kastner

The City of Stratford is in the midst of determining what’s next for the former Grand Trunk Locomotive Repair Shops, known more recently as The Cooper Site.

The 18 acre property is on the cusp of Stratford’s downtown and this generational project will be integral to the City’s next 50 years.

John Kastner, former General Manger of the Stratford Perth Museum and great friend to the museum provides a summary of THE SHOPS impact not only economically but socially.

The talk is approximately 1 hour. It’s reflective of the Museum’s outstanding exhibit about the history of the Grand Trunk and CNR Locomotive Repair Shops in Stratford, Railway Century.
