Starting August 1, join a friendly and informed community docent on Thursdays for an interactive, vibrant guided-tour of the museum's current exhibitions. These drop-in tours, are open to all ages and all levels of curiosity! Regular admission applies.

Schoolhouse Museum Camp

Step back into time this summer for a week-long, fun-filled Schoolhouse Museum Camp. Situated in Perth County’s oldest one-room school, campers will experience doses of early 1900’s student life. From quill pens and ink, slate boards and spelling bees to art, play making, music and loads of outdoor fun, this unique camp experience is guaranteed to make your summer an A+++. Led by Peg Dunnem, Manager of Education and Public Programs.

Schoolhouse Museum Camp Activities Include:
Intro to a day in the life at Brocksden School | Re-enactment | Storytelling | Quill and Ink writing + drawing | Playful exploration of traditional school subjects | Creative Play Making (the week will culminate in a short performance by the participants for family + friends) | Outdoor drawing + painting | Traditional Songs & Music | Traditional Games | Traditional Toy Making | Map Making
Flag Making | Former Brocksden Students Guests….and so much more…

Groovy Museum Summer Camp

Calling all groovy peace loving campers! Inspired by the launch of our summer exhibition The Revols / The Road to Woodstock, this five days of peace, love & music camp will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the legendary rock festival, The Woodstock Music and Art Fair. Campers will explore Woodstock’s counterculture scene through music, food, fashion and art.  It’ll be outta sight! Led by Peg Dunnem,  Manager of Education and Public Programs.
